9/23/17: Singer-Songwriter Festival

Society Cafe Concert Series kicks off its 2017-18 season with a singer-songwriter festival, featuring original music and performances by Rob Cannillo, Rebecca Rydell, Dennis Brendell, Kate Landino and Vernon Webb.

Raised on a diet of the Allman Brothers, Ray Charles, BB King and Bob Dylan, Rob Canillo writes songs with grit, emotion and meaning, delivered with a smokey vocal.  No fluff, no hype, no hoopla - just the song.
"What Life Can Be is a candid, joyous, optimistic, gutty CD with excellent compositions." - Objective Speed Review

Rebecca Rydell is an Americana singer/songwriter based in northern New Jersey.

Kate Landino is an upcoming singer-songwriter from Ridgewood NJ. At 15 years old, she’s written and played music throughout Bergen County. She is currently writing and developing an EP that will be released in 2018. You can find her playing at the Ridgewood Coffee Company open mics on Monday nights, and by searching Kate Landino on SoundCloud.

Well-known in the music industry for his live music photography (www.vawebb.com or Facebook), Vernon Webb is now taking the stage with his own solo, acoustic performance as well as sitting in with multiple bands. A singer/songwriter with over 20 years or writing, Vernon's music and lyrics offer a mix of passionate original materials and covers in a unique blend of songs. He is currently creating his first CD.
